Snowmade Cocoa
Growing up in Wisconsin, one of my favorite winter traditions was visiting the local skating pond with friends and family. We’d bundle up, skate until our toes were numb, and warm up in the little hut nearby. Every so often, there would be hot cocoa for sale, making the whole experience feel extra magical. Those moments were some of the best parts of winter, and I wanted to capture a bit of that cozy, nostalgic feeling in this illustration.
In this painting, snowmen and snow-kids—dressed in their coziest sweaters, hats, and scarves—are lined up outside a charming iced cocoa stand. (After all, snowmen don’t drink hot cocoa... they drink theirs iced! 😉) The scene is set beside a bustling outdoor ice rink, with snow falling gently around them, adding a little winter sparkle to the air. I wanted to create a whimsical world where even snowmen enjoy the simple joys of the season, just like we do.
This piece would be perfect for holiday cards, seasonal decor, art prints or winter-themed products. It’s available for license or purchase, and I’d love to see it come to life in new ways! Feel free to reach out if you’d like to explore more ideas. Let’s bring some snowy magic to your next project!
