Full Mugs, Full Hearts

As much as I hate the freezing cold of Chicago winters, I have to admit—there are some perks! There’s a special kind of coziness that only comes with the holiday season. This illustration was inspired by those little moments that make winter worth it: baking Christmas cookies, sipping hot cocoa piled high with whipped cream, and curling up by the fireplace to watch Christmas movies with my family.

At the heart of the piece is a cheerful gingerbread man, fresh from the oven, paired with a festive mug of cocoa topped with whipped cream. The mug is decorated with bright poinsettias, adding a bit of holiday cheer, while hand-lettering spells out the message: Full Mugs, Full Hearts. It’s the perfect reminder that sometimes the simplest things can fill us up the most.
